Why Us? We have been connecting generations for over 20 years.

Our lead researcher is Catherine

Catherine's interest began when she did her own family history search in the mid 1990s. From then on, she was hooked. So much so, she then turned her hand to professional research and has successfully connected families with their ancestors  for over 20 years.

Catherine, is a CERTIFIED GENEALOGIST having graduated from IAP COMMUNITY COLLEGE. She is also a member in good standing with the ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL GENEALOGISTS.

What do client's say?

They traced my lineage back to the 10th century and found out I have British and French royalty in my line. Who knew? It was amazing."

"Ancestors in Your Attic," recently searched the maternal side of my family's history. Catherine did a lot of " detective" type research and went as far back as the early 1600's. This was a gift for Mother's Day and my Mom absolutely loved it !

This company did a wonderful job and great presentation of all the facts surrounding our families history. I would recommend their services to anyone !

We were always told we were Scottish. Turns out our family comes from Ireland. They not only found my line, they dispelled some long-running family myths. It was so informative. Now, I know who I am."

I had my parental and maternal sides searched and the amount of information was amazing. Not only did I get printed records and facts, I got personal stories that brought these people alive again, in my eyes. I would do this again in a moment."

Genealogical
Proof Standard

We work to the following:

The Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS) is a guideline for establishing the reliability ("proof") of a genealogical conclusion with reasonable certainty.[1] It is important within the genealogical community for clearly communicating the quality of research performed, such as by a professional genealogist. It is also useful for helping new genealogists understand what is needed to do high-quality research, how identify an individual and establish family relationships.[2]

It has five elements:

  • reasonably exhaustive research;

  • complete and accurate source citations;

  • analysis and correlation of the collected information;

  • resolution of any conflicting evidence; and

  • a soundly reasoned, coherently written conclusion
